After allowing the Queen of Thorns to delivering a few choice, if not very complimentary, words of advice to Jaime about his sister Cersei - "She's a disease, I regret my role in spreading it. But it looks like we may finally see a break in her exterior in next week's episode, 'The Spoils of War'".
In the third new episode, "The Queen's Justice", Jon Snow (Kit Harington) traveled to Dragonstone to meet Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). But now, with this scene between Varys and Melisandre, I can't help but wonder was it a foreshadowing of Varys' death?
When Varma was told that she was going to be killed off of the show, she wanted to die on-screen. Just as we thought Tyrion had outfoxed his siblings - and given the Unsullied a way into Casterly Rock to defeat the Lannisters - it turns out that Jaime and his army were one step ahead, arriving at Highgarden to crush Daenerys' ally, the House of Tyrell. But there were fireworks of some sort courtesy of Cersei, who "goes on what Kill Bill's Bride might refer to as a roaring rampage of revenge" (most gruesomely, we learn the fate of Ellaria Sand). As Indira Varma explained to Entertainment Weekly, this is the last appearance of Ellaria and honestly, we're a little upset.
Martin named the book saga, "The Song of Ice and Fire", and many fans feel that the two characters represent those elements with the northern Snow being ice and the dragon riding Daenerys being fire. Episode three, titled "The Queen's Justice" had almost everything a GoT fans would want to see. It was poetic but dark.
Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 4 premieres on HBO on August 6. She says she'll be back, but this is probably the last we'll see of her for some time. At first, the shackles kept falling off and they crew ended up putting the shackles on so tight that they had to be cut off. But hey, a bit of incest has never stopped GoT characters before. The whole situation is a parent's worst nightmare, and that fear was something that took over in the scene. But maybe they're just building up to that moment to make it more brutal for Cersei. As any Game of Thrones fan will tell you, during the Mad King's reign there was a certain rebellion, led by Robert Baratheon, along with Ned Stark.
