The redemption dances were then followed by the freestyle dances.
The pair repeated their Viennese waltz and did an incredible job. He was praised for his improvement, as Bruno said it was "refined, polished, majestic, smooth as silk". I remember he said, 'Lindsay, I didn't consider [dancing] a sport because I didn't understand it, but after doing a season with you, I have so much respect for dancers and the entertainment you guys can bring while still doing the sport'. He danced with such confidence and Emma gave him such wonderful choreography to showcase how tremendously he has improved in eight weeks. The second dance will be a freestyle.so that should be interesting.
Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy's Quickstep was lightning quick. Julianne gushed, "There are some iconic freestyles, and that was one of them!"
She and Val mesmerized the audience and judge Bruno Tonioli was at his most evocative when he stood up and shouted, calling her "brilliant". Score: two 9s and two 10s for 38 out of 40.
Len Goodman called the dance "breathtaking". Hopefully, the judges don't repeat any of these dances. It's nearly unfair to David that Rashad had the same style, because wow did he perform this beautifully. It was fun, full of life and set the bar high for the rest of the competitors.
"Everyone has their own personal best and it looks different obviously, but tonight I definitely feel you hit your personal best".
Jennings and Slater first came close to a flawless score during week four, when he dedicated his emotional contemporary performance to his father, and earned a 39 out of 40, putting him in first place for the night. She says it's proving to be a shocker of a season, what with Fifth Harmony star Normani Kordei's unexpected elimination. It was simple, yet handsome, with Len calling it "so emotional".
Rashad and Emma had a blast during their Freestyle and so did I. There was a bit of hip-hop, a bit of a football halftime show, lots of movement and dance steps. "The man of the moment". But Emma is feeling the pressure to not let Rashad down. "That's who we're dancing for". Based on fans' votes, it's been pretty clear all season that Cubs fans are root, root, rooting for their champ to take home the trophy.
Dancing with the Stars airs tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC. No lavish opening dance routine, no fanfare. That's right., 150 minutes of recaps, special performances, bloopers, the 24-hour fusion challenge and results. On Tuesday, each couple will fuse two contrasting dance styles they've performed this season for judges' points. Normani is concerned that this could prevent her from getting the mirrorball trophy.
LA: If you don't think dancing is a sport, please try "DWTS!".
The three finalists pulled out all the stops for their final routines on "Dancing With The Stars" Monday.
